Leadership

“Leadership is the ability to get extraordinary achievement out of ordinary people…” — Brian Tracy

What sets one apart from those around them is their ability to get more done in less time; get more out of themselves with less natural talent; have greater achievements than those whom most think would do better, and it all happens by turning the ordinary into the extraordinary. In almost every incidence, this was due to positive influence by someone willing to help lead them to be their best as well as the personal willingness to take on the challenge of leading an extraordinary life. When you are positively influenced, is not turn about fair play so that you should also positively influence others as well?

If you are the father in a home, you are a leader; who might you leading to be there best? If you are the mother in a home you are a leader; who might you leading to be there best? If you are the older sibling, you are a leader; who might you leading to be their best? If you are in management, you are a leader; who might you leading to be their best? Whatever position you hold, whatever you may be doing, you are leading because those around are watching. Your performance, attitude, and work ethic provides an example and guideline, whereby they can see the way things can best be completed.

We are all leaders in one way or another, but most of all we are first and foremost leaders of ourselves. We are the true leaders of our own lives. We may not be the boss at work, but we are the boss of our own time. As a boss of our own life and time we must lead a life worthy of the time we have been given. If we correctly lead our life others will follow. The reason is simple, they too want the success that comes when one discovers and then takes on the responsibility of truly directing their own life, thereby making it a life worth living and one that touches the world around them.

If leadership is the ability to get extraordinary achievement out of ordinary people, why not lead your own life away from the ordinary, to the extraordinary. Learn to coach yourself first and as stated above, others will follow. They will follow without you wanting to be their leader. When you are good at leading your own life, it makes it easier to lead others for you are simply following the plan you know works. With good leadership for yourself and others, you can have a much more powerful impact on the world around you.

Best of LUCK as you
